“Your Guide to Great Rum”

January 2012

Happy New Year!  RnD is pleased to usher in 2012 with a total of 212 unique rums reviewed as of this month.  Our goal was to present great rums that represent three distinct styles, and narrowed the list down to just these.  Martinique brings us the flavorful French/Agricole La Favorite Coeur de Rhum Vieux, which is sure to gain fans for this under-appreciated style.  Guyana and Barbados, homes to legendary English-style rum producers, combined their efforts and delivered a wonderfully smooth sipping rum called Banks XM.  Last but not least, we review one of the best daiquiri-making rums on the market.  Santa Teresa Claro is a not-quite-white beauty that shines equally bright in classic cocktails or on it’s own.  Enjoy! - RnD

Next Month

Stay tuned for more great rum from Jamaica and Panama.
