Our reviews are based on objective criteria as well our unbiased opinions.  RnD’s evaluations adhere to a guiding principle:  How well does the rum achieve what it is trying to be?

RnD’s Flask Scale rates each rum consistently within its respective category based on its qualities of Color, Aroma, Initial Taste, Body, and Finish.  Rums from one category should not be compared with rums from another category. 

Whenever possible, we'll include a anecdotes in the review about how we discovered each rum.
